Resumo:Objective: To correlate the 24-hour pad test with the severity of the questionnaire Incontinence Severity Index (ISI) in women with urinary incontinence (UI). Materials and Methods: a cross-sectional study, performed in the Clinic School of Physiotherapy FACISA/UFRN, with sample of 14 women. The evaluation was carried out in two days, on the first day the volunteers responded to a connector with the demographic data and clinical history, the questionnaires King Health Questionnaire (KHQ), and ISI-Q, then performed the Functional assessment of MAP and the perineometria. After these assessments the patients received five previously weighed absorbents and were given guidelines on how to use them. After 24 hours of the first evaluation the patient returned to Clinic School of Physiotherapy to return the pads that were weight. The data were analyzed using the software Statistica 7.0, for the Correlation was used the Spearman test, the significance level was set at 5%. Results: The average age of women was 59.29±7.76 years, it was found that 85.71% had married life, the severity of the IU was 5.28 ± 2.92. There was a positive correlation between the 24-hours pad test with the domains of ISI, quantity of urinary loss (r=0.7334) and severity of the IU (r=0.789), and of the KHQ, role limitation (r=0.7361), limitation Social (r=0.8278) and emotions (r=0.731). Conclusion: The 24-hours pad test showed correlation with the severity of the IU and with the KHQ, proving to be a good evaluation method for the severity of the IU and the impact of urinary loss in several areas of the KHQ.
