To this end, it is observed that the Universities that offers the Licesning in Music arein constant changes to update their course panel to the reality of the classes and the realityexisting in our country. Concerned with the approval of this Law, students that have worked, are working or participating in trainee programs in those schools observes in practice that some schools are working for the inclusion of the new arm in the arts while others have yet to begin to think about it. With this vision we work in this paper regarding the laws andit’s changes throughout the years, telling a brief history of the teaching of music in Brazil, which changes occurred in the Law that deals with this topic, what researchers in this field have gathered of importance, a brief reflection about the Law 11.769 from August 18th of2008 and the results obtained with this work. Esta pesquisa tem como objetivo identificar como anda a implementação da Lei 11.769 que foi aprovada em 18 de agosto de 2008, onde altera a Lei 9.394 de 20 de dezembro de 1996, nas escolas da rede privada de ensino fundamental de natal. Para isto é observado que as Universidades que oferecem o curso a Licenciatura em Música encontram-se em constantes mudanças para adequar seus currículos a realidade das salas de aula e a realidade existente em nosso país. Preocupados com a aprovação desta Lei alunos que já trabalharam ou estão trabalhando ou estagiando nas escolas observam na prática, que algumas escolas estão trabalhando para a inclusão do novo braço das artes enquanto que outras ainda não começaram a pensar nisto.
