Resumo:This graduation report consists in a survey on the Trampolim da Victoria Music Band, which was founded in the city of Parnamirim RN, through the Foundation for Culture Parnamirim, aiming to highlight the importance of a civil band to the community as well as demonstrate the relevance of this work in the interaction and socio-cultural development of young people. The professionalism of students in rehearsals, performances and concerts will be approached, weaving some considerations about the music in the educational process and the need to rescue the musical identity of the participants. Regarding to the methodology, we chose to develop a literature research through a descriptive analysis, with a qualitative focus. The data of this study were collected through interviews with members, former members and people from the community who know the principle and formation of the Band. Through this survey, it was possible to conclude that a music band can provide musical, professional and personal formation, once it contributes to the process of conjunct formation, through musical experiences, thereby constituting a social and collective action of those who participate in it. The considerations made in this study do not intend to end the matter, instead, proposes new issues to face, pointing out possibilities of how to turn music into a transforming and training activity.
