Thus, this study seeks subsidies for the theoretical substantitation allied to the description of the workshops and also reports related to the preliminary results obtained from this process. The methodology used in this study was developed through the practice of teaching of popular rhythms, tied to pedagogical techniques of teaching focused on the practice of non-formal education. Therefore, there were developed new interpretative strategies, aspiring to a greater understanding and maturity of the author‟s interaction with the participants. Both the perception and the interaction of the students were very satisfactory, considering that it was a first rhythmic / musical experience. Finally, we sought a reflection on the experience and learning acquired during this pedagogic process related to non-formal education. It was concluded that while the methodology of the workshop is based on intuitive learning, there will be a series of new problems created by the use of the non-formal space studied by formal parameters. Trata-se de um trabalho de pesquisa o qual visa relatar a experiência do autor na prática da oficina de percussão denominada "Kizambe", almejando construir uma didática apropriada para o público leigo e/ou carente de educação musical através da implementação de uma série de oficinas relacionadas à problemática em questão. Assim, este estudo busca subsídios para a fundamentação teórica aliados à descrição das oficinas e, ainda, relatos relacionados aos resultados preliminares obtidos, resultantes deste processo. A metodologia utilizada nesta pesquisa foi desenvolvida através da prática do ensino de ritmos populares, vinculados a contextualização de técnicas pedagógicas de ensino focado na prática da educação nãoformal. Dessa forma, desenvolveram-se novas estratégias interpretativas, aspirando a um maior entendimento e amadurecimento da interação do autor com os participantes. Tanto a percepção como a interação dos alunos foi bastante satisfatória, considerando ser uma primeira experiência rítmica/musical. Por fim, buscou-se uma reflexão sobre as vivências e aprendizagens adquiridas ao longo desse processo pedagógico relacionado à educação nãoformal.
