Resumo:This work has the objective to discuss in a reflective way about curriculum adaptation in music and the challenges faced by the music teachers in initial formation process, and those who already teaches at public and private schools on regular education, at different levels, suggesting practices and methodologies to implement the music contents in an inclusive perspective. Based on a bibliographical research, surveys to collect qualitative data, as well as experiences within this context, and understanding the own subject of this work. We sought to point out the main challenges to musical education, and charge the undergraduate music courses in Brazilian universities, to re-examine and re-evaluate, the offer of subjects related to special education and the process of continuing education. The bibliographical research aimed to highlight the major landmarks in Brazil, both for music education as to special education. Knowing this route, we are able to build up our practice, valuing all the achievements made in terms of public policies and the Brazilian legislation through official documents that discuss the especial education in Brazil and around the world. The purpose of the interviews was to highlight the ideas expressed by the participants on special education, music education, inclusion and adaptation of musical activities. The description and analysis of the data has allowed us to discuss about the importance of music education for all, and sought to encourage principles of teaching and learning music for people with special educational needs. Whereas it is important to discuss and learn about inclusion so that it becomes real, this research is a good exchange of information.
