The massive music is a pragmatic reality which is present in the everyday life of our students, this study becomes important to observe what it has been producing in the consumer industry and which are the social impacts that our students are getting through these productions. Likewise, we must consider that the massive popular music is an emerging reality that is active in multicultural practices. So to discuss such issues, we have to equip ourselves with theories and arguments that are based on the humanities - but especially on musicology and ethnomusicology - Considering the respect for multicultural diversity and social context of each individual. We are cognizant that in contemporaneity the individuals influence and are influenced by their socio-cultural space. Through these analyzes, our complaint will be based on the critical pedagogy of Paulo Freire, enabling a critical reflection on our teaching practices across a musical education that is constantly. No presente trabalho, abordaremos a utilização da música popular massiva através de um viés multicultural. Levantando principalmente a problemática se é benéfica à utilização desta no ensino e aprendizagem dos discentes. Por ela ser uma realidade pragmática que está presente nos cotidianos de nossos alunos, se faz importante este estudo para a observação do que se vem produzindo dentro da indústria cultural de entretimento e quais os impactos sociais que nossos alunos estão recebendo através dessas produções. Da mesma sorte, devemos considerar que a música popular massiva é uma realidade emergente que está presente nas práticas multiculturais. Então, para discutirmos tal problemática, temos que nos munir com teorias e argumentações que se baseiam nas ciências humanas - em especial na musicologia, pedagogia e etnomusicologia - considerando o respeito à diversidade multicultural e o contexto social de cada indivíduo. Sendo sabedores que na contemporaneidade os indivíduos influenciam e são influenciados por seu espaço sociocultural.
