Resumo:This research presents a report about a wind and percussion instruments collective teaching experience in the Wind Ensemble-Course of PRONATEC at the city of Campo Grande-RN. The "Da Capo" Method by Professor Joel Luiz da Silva Barbosa (1964) was used. This material uses Brazilian folk songs as part of its proposed exercises for theoretical and practical learning making the pedagogical approach to a Brazilian melodic reality. The use of this Method proposes as part of its approach to create smaller formations such as duos, trios and quartets to improve the wind ensemble experience. It helps to increase the confidence of the students and promotes a better dialogue between the different sets of the ensemble as much as stimulates in these smaller formations to contemplate musical manifestations present in the student‟s communities. The methodology used for the development of this work was to insert the "Da Capo" method in a practical way, where its content was adapted to sensitize students in the aspects of: tuning, equalization, balance, memorization and interpretation. It is also necessary to consider the importance of the "Da Capo" method in the process of musicalization. As part of this process, it helps both to transforming and to socializing the individual, as well as contributing to the formation of his character and critical awareness. As a result it was verified that the collective teaching of wind and percussion instruments is an adequate tool for musical teaching in music bands, as it is an efficient and viable alternative for music education in Brazil.
