Resumo:The Institutional Program Initiation Grant to Teaching (PIBID) is a public policy that aims to promote the teaching practice of students from public and private institutions of higher education and universities with community, religious and philanthropic. The PIBID seeks to value and improve the national basic public education through the academic stimulus to exercise the teaching profession, approaching the future work environment and adding value to their educational performance even graduation. The program helps to improve the quality of basic education, adding value to the performance of the stock of degrees. The Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte (UFRN), the PIBID, managed by the Higher Education Personnel Improvement Coordination (CAPES), realized in 2011, a set of 13 degree courses: Chemistry, Biology, Physics, Mathematics, Portuguese Language, Music, Philosophy, Geography, Social Sciences, History and Pedagogy. This qualitative nature study with descriptive level approach, aimed to reflect on the actions taken by PIBID-Music / UFRN in the State School Judge Floriano Cavalcanti in the period between 2011 and 2013, more specifically, the pibidiano the travel experience of degree in Music EMUFRN: Elindemberg Nascimento Lisbon. Therefore, through the use of literature, documentary and participant participation was made possible historically contextualize the PIBID, characterize the PIBID-Music / UFRN and report the actions developed by PIBID-Music in Floca between 2011 - 2013 from the experiences and experiences the author. The results show the need for greater action and involvement of scholarship from the stage of planning to execution classes so that the objectives and indicated results in projects and program guidelines are met more effectively. Despite the criticism raised, it was evident from experience that there was enrichment of undergraduate course of the curriculum content through participation in PIBID-Music, as the actions provided an understanding of the social and cultural reality of the teacher's working environment beyond books and academic writing. Adding to this strengthening emotional bonds through teamwork that also educated us to tolerance and dialogue in an interdisciplinary perspective.
