Resumo:The sustainable theme is being increasingly disseminated over the years, especially to try to minimize impacts on environmental, economic, and social pillars. Therefore, examining this development in a strategic format is very useful in the continuous learning of this aspect. For this, a systematic review in CAPES/MEC journals using the Scopus database (Elsevier) was conducted in search of the possibilities about the use of eco-efficiency tools and life cycle assessment (LCA) incorporated into the sustainability context. The articles introduced in this scientific material allowed the analysis of solutions in various industrial sectors for future decision making and estimates of scenarios that are more economically and environmentally responsible. In addition, a critical approach was stipulated to interpret the results and define a route that represents the best use of the two tools chosen to achieve sustainable objectives. As main findings, it was identified that the use of LCA combined with the life cycle cost shows an attractive integration to manage environmental and economic information, added to this, SimaPro software, the ReCiPe impact assessment method and the EcoInvent database were widely used tools for data processing. Finally, the use of the Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) followed by the eco-efficiency indicator completes a relevant methodology for sustainable strategic development in the industrial sphere.
