Resumo: | The need for changes in schooling made it possible to use new ways of teaching and
learning more in tune with the demands of society. In the Brazilian context, Active
Teaching and Learning Methodologies (AM) have been adopted, in line with the
National Curriculum Guidelines, so that there is the active participation of the student
and that he can become a protagonist in the construction of his knowledge. For this,
the health preceptor emerges in an essential role in this process, being the
professional who works within the environment of assistance in health services, also
turning it into a teaching environment for professional practice. Thus, the aim of this
study was to identify the conceptions and practices of preceptors about the use of
AM teaching-learning in the context of preceptorship in health linked to the
Multicampi School of Medical Sciences of Rio Grande do Norte (EMCM-RN). Study
with a methodological approach to research of mixed methods, using quantitative
and qualitative approaches, of the exploratory-descriptive type, developed with
preceptors linked to the master's degree at EMCM-RN. Data collection was
performed using an online form, with analysis of quantitative data using simple
descriptive statistics. The qualitative analysis took place through the Collective
Subject Discourse. The results of this study made it possible to find, for the profile of
the preceptors, an average age of 36 years, an average training time of 10.2 years,
and a length of experience of the preceptorship of an average of 3.6 years. The
majority were female, with academic training in Nursing, and the highest academic
degree was Specialization. In addition, half of them reported using AM in their field of
action, the following being mentioned: Fishbowl, PBL, Problematization, Simulation,
TBL, Discussion or Case Study. Such results also made it possible to perceive that
AMs enable an excellent articulation between the daily experiences lived in the
practice of services, and education based on the construction of knowledge, in an
inter-relationship established between the preceptors and the students. Therefore, it
is necessary to know and make use of different ways to facilitate knowledge. In
addition, it can be considered that AMs offer the possibility to build new ways of
conducting health training, as it is a possible instrument to overcome traditional
teaching models. Finally, it is considered that the perception of preceptors about AM
teaching and learning is of great importance for the construction of actions that meet
their pedagogical needs for the process of training new health professionals. |
