Resumo: | This work proposes a NURBS-based method to design interfaces of adjacent
disparate microstructural domains. The mentioned method is intended to be
employed as a structural compatibility tool in multiscale structural optimization
methods, providing physical consistency to designed structures, allowing them to
be manufacturable, and preventing performance loss due to post-processing
changes. A computational code - based on trimmed NURBS surfaces – was
implemented and used to perform numerical simulations of compatibly designed
adjacent microstructural domains. The results demonstrate the feasibility of the
proposed method. |
