| Resumo: | The environmental issue has been very discussed in recent years. Among the sectors most related to the environment, in level of environmental concern, are the gas stations. This environmental preoccupation should be demonstrated to the society by enviromental education, using the consciousness factor and being released in enviroments susceptible to this type of disclosure, as the environment of university extension. Thus, this article aims to analyze the waste generated in a sector of oil change, and to propose improvement actions to minimize the waste generated by such activity. The methodology used in this study is a descriptive-exploratory research, seeking to observe and describe the current company’s situation. As results, it was realized that in most cases, the studied company offers the right treatment for their waste, such as the collection of burned oil
