Thus, the objective of this work was to develop a communication tool called Surgery Remember to mitigate surgical suspensions due to patient absenteeism. It is a study of technological production divided into four chapters: review of the literature, analysis of the administrative profile of the hospital under study, software development and process mapping for implementation of the surgery Remember. To approach the problem of absenteeism as the main cause of surgical suspension in the last three years, the development of this system aims to reduce cancellations of surgeries. Message sending three days before surgical procedure allows patients replacement in case of no-show, optimizing human and material resources of operating room. Confirmation of pre-anesthetic consultation is also positive to verify improvement of perioperative care. Therefore, the software developed, in addition to being viable and easy to implement, allows the addition of other functions on demand, proving to be favorable in solving the exposed problem.

O uso de telefones celulares tem aumentado drasticamente. Essa mudança na forma de comunicação entre os indivíduos fornece um grande potencial para o envolvimento no cuidado do paciente, apoiando o seu autogerenciamento e promovendo responsabilidade compartilhada com os serviços de saúde. Melhorar a comunicação facilita o cumprimento dos procedimentos programados e reduz as suspensões cirúrgicas. Dessa forma, o objetivo desse trabalho consistiu em desenvolver uma ferramenta de comunicação denominada Surgery Remember@ para mitigar as suspensões cirúrgicas por absenteísmo do paciente. Trata-se de um estudo de produção tecnológica dividido em quatro capítulos: revisão da literatura, análise do perfil administrativo do hospital em estudo, desenvolvimento do software e mapeamento de processo para implementação do Surgery Remember@. Considerando a problemática do absenteísmo como principal causa de suspensão cirúrgica institucional, nos últimos três anos, o desenvolvimento desse sistema visa reduzir os cancelamentos de cirurgias. O envio de mensagens três dias antes do procedimento cirúrgico possibilita a substituição de pacientes no caso da confirmação do não comparecimento, otimizando os recursos humanos e materiais do centro cirúrgico. A confirmação da realização da consulta pré-anestésica também é positiva, no sentido da verificação da melhoria da assistência perioperatória.
