Resumo:This work proposes to debate the issue of teaching local history in high school from the narratives and experiences that students bring from the city in which they live. The research was done through the application of a questionnaire and conversations with the students of a public full-time school in Fortaleza city – CE, the Colégio Estadual Liceu do Ceará, in which it was wanted to know how these students relate, feel, experience and build the identity’s feeling and belonging with the Fortaleza city. Before the void existing in the curriculum of high school history on local history and the results obtained after analyzing the data generated by this research, the didactic product resulting is the creation of three mini-documentaries’ scripts that address the student's perspective on the city in three specific points: the imaginary, the places of memory and historical knowledge. What is proposed with this product is to contribute to the local history classes and allow students to have other point of views on their relationship with the city.
