Yhteenveto:Health care for adolescents is a major challenge in health practices. This is since it is a population group, with peculiar characteristics and the vulnerability in which it is found, as it is more distant from health services. Therefore, comprehensive health care for adolescents demands comprehensive health care networks, health needs geared to this life cycle, and the articulation of different sectoral policies. Given the relevance of the theme for PHC, the present study aimed to outline a diagnosis regarding the health care of adolescents in the municipality of Serra da Raiz/PB. For this, a descriptive exploratory study, of documentary and observational type, of qualitative nature, with the municipality of Serra da Raiz as the study site. Data were collected based on the consultation and analysis of physical and electronic documents, direct observation of the structure and records of the work process, and Information Systems. Data analysis was performed based on Bardin's content analysis, organized into thematic categories based on Donabedian's quality model of health services: structure, processes, and results. The survey results pointed to a hegemonic biomedical model centered on primary care services aimed at serving adolescents. Realize If that because there is a definite flow designed specifically for this audience, access is mostly provided by spontaneous demand, with female adolescents (68.1%) as predominant in the demand for care in health units. Difficulties in comprehensiveness were also noticed, both among health teams that sometimes carry out health actions for adolescents in a fragmented way, as well as in the little articulation with the intersectoral network. Results also signaled that the health-related morbidity data of adolescents indicated a reduction in the rate of hospitalization for pregnancy, childbirth, and the puerperium, between 2008 and 2018, however, the fertility rate in the municipality is slightly higher (20, 2%) concerning the national rate (18.5%). The sorrow of mortality data shows a large number of deaths in the age group 10 to 19 years due to external causes, the level of Paraíba, Northeast, and Brazil, no significant data found in the records of the information systems of Serra da Raiz municipality. Due to the limitations of the present study, related to documentary research, and taking into account that many important aspects could not be observed, new studies of the local reality are suggested based on a strategic planning that enables the listening of the actors, including adolescent users so that other needs are listed.
