| Resumo: | This article describes about the main expansion strategies suggested for a Philanthropic Hospital in the Rio Grande do Norte (Brazil). The work was the result of a research project aimed at improving the learning process. The problems were based on the Hospital’s need in becoming more competitive to meet the demands of the market, being so essential to formulate a plan of action to be taken. The objective was to systematize the ideas into a viable business plan for the restructuring and expansion of the institution. The methodology was characterized by market analysis, internal information search and literature review.
