The methodology was based on quantitative research with purposeful sampling where information was collected through questionnaires answered by the governing body. It was observed that the critical point of the measuring system performance is the low participation of employees in the definition of indicators, on the other hand, the integration of the objectives of the various sectors was the attribute with the largest positive enhancement. The study is notable for addressing a specific theme and exploring its features, contributing to the literature, generating support management decisions and expanding horizons for further research. Finally, this article seeks to reduce the boundary between the subject performance evaluation and organizational studies Este trabalho busca avaliar os atributos dos sistemas de medição de desempenho de uma instituição de ensino superior do Rio Grande do Sul. A metodologia baseou-se em pesquisa quantitativa com amostra intencional, onde as informações foram coletadas por meio de questionários respondidos pelo corpo administrativo. Observou-se que o ponto crítico do sistema de medição de desempenho reside na baixa participação dos colaboradores na definição dos indicadores, por outro lado, a integração dos sistemas com os objetivos dos diversos setores foi o atributo com o maior realce positivo. O estudo destaca-se por abordar um tema específico e explorar suas características, contribuindo para a literatura, gerando suporte as decisões gerenciais e ampliando os horizontes para novas pesquisas.
