| Resumo: | This final professional master's work consists of an architectural proposal of a
university restaurant for the Juazeiro do Norte campus, which belongs to the Federal
University of Cariri (UFCA), being thermal comfort the main emphasis of the project.
This document consists of the technical report and the architectural draft. It was
developed with the goal of better understanding the specific characteristics of
planning, implementing and operating university restaurants, and designing a
building that respects the bioclimatic guidelines of the region in which it operates,
also relating positively to the UFCA academic community. The proposal seeks to
address the problems of this type of building, which in many cases are not suited to
the climate or the needs of its users, facts that are frequently experienced in
academic life and professional practice. The UFCA campus in Juazeiro do Norte is in
the process of expanding, requiring the construction of a Restaurant that
corresponds to the institution's needs and has good thermal comfort conditions. In
order to develop the architectural proposal, it was initially carried out a theoreticalconceptual deepening on the theme of restaurants, through bibliographic research
and studies of related design references. Based on these studies and information
collected at the institution, an architectural programming was developed, with
definition of the dilemmas and goals of the project, layout and dimensioning of the
environments. From this base, and with the help of the course subjects, the design
process was gradually being developed and mapped, through various forms of
registration in analog and digital media, from the initial stages of studies of
conditions, conception and development of the party architectural, passing through
the preliminary proposal presented in the qualification, until reaching the preliminary
draft and technical report presented here. In its specific objectives, the work sought
to study architectural strategies to provide thermal comfort and integrate the building
with the University campus, thus encouraging the appropriate use of collective
spaces and their socialization. As a result of the functional, formal studies and the
comfort simulations carried out, a proposal was made for a building compatible with
the environmental conditions of the region and connected with community spaces. |
