Resumo: | The global scenario has changed and with it also the way we produce, implement and manage innovation. The knowledge-based innovation proves increasingly virtues verification and discovery in relation to all other forms of knowledge. Due to these changes, companies of various sizes and industries are being forced to seek new management alternatives due to exogenous factors such as globalization, the need to properly manage the knowledge to generate innovation and competitiveness, and the development of business networks. Today's leading organizations invest in innovation and technological development through incentives such as contests, awards and seminars to develop innovative projects. Innovation is now recognized as a key factor for the development of enterprises, and especially for the country. This is realized in a collection growing by more innovative designs. In this paper we present some of the classical authors and trends in innovation
