Resumo:The article aims to examine the possibility of increasing improvements in information flow between sectors and business planning and controlling the production of a food company from Rio Grande do Norte to meet the demands. The research method was based on interviews, gathering market data, library research, desk research and technical visits, through which it was possible to identify the research problem, to know the state of the art on this issue and analyze the information flow in perspective of the business process. As results, we propose the adoption of “reports of cuts” to achieve up to meet the demand and optimize the available information flow between the PCP and commercial sectors. As a result, we can see that through the proposed improvements, the PCP and sales sectors can provide improvements in terms of competitiveness, quality and reciprocity of decisions taken and implemented internal processes, evening sales in order to meet the demand offered. The survey concludes that organizations need to manage information efficiently and effectively, as this is an essential input to its survival. So need to worry about the search processes, production, processing, storage and dissemination of information
