Resumo:The application of green roofs offers many environmental benefits for a region where they are inserted, in which the gains in urban drainage have been the subject of recent studies. This is justified by the results of reduction of the peak flow of rainwater with the use of green roofs. In this study, the Storm Water Management Model (SWMM) will be used to model the hydrologic response of a green roof system for intense rainfall in the city of Natal/RN. The methodology proposes rain event variable, as a substrate layer, as well as the rate of green roofs utilization in the drainage basin. A decrease in the maximum flow rate was obtained up to 43.61% and it was verified that for analyzes at the drainage basin scale, no delas are identified in the hydrograph peaks due to the superposition of the subcatchments that composse it.
