| Resumo: | This work deals with public policies regarding scientific information. Thus, it points out the outstanding role Biblionline, João Pessoa, v. 11, n.1, p. 185-204, 2015Página | 202performed by the Brazilian Portal National Higher Level Personnel Training Coordination (CAPES) Journal Portal. A exploratory and bibliographic approach was realized. It Points out that the CAPES Journal Portal is responsible for the reduction regional inequalities since it provides access to information in Science and Technology through the scientific journals. This access enables progress in various fields of knowledge in the academic context. It is possible to conclude that the Portal is an important instrument for the advancement of scientific communication, subsidizing and promoting access to information in science and technology in a ubiquitous manner, providing researchers an updated and large share of the international and national scientific research providingadvancement for Brazilianstrcitosensugraduate students. However, on the other hand, there must be a continuous work done by CAPESin order to modernize its platform. This can be done with the acquisition of informational materials that are up to date and display with new content. |
