Resumo:Civil construction is one of the most representative sectors of the country accounting for approximately 66.2% of GDP in the entire production chain in Brazil, of which industry and materials trade together account for 20.4% and is responsible for a contingent of 992.7 thousand employed persons (GONÇALVES, 2017). According to a study done by the Brazilian Micro and Small Business Support Service (SEBRAE, 2017), the national production of cement coatings for walls is approximately 225,000 m2 /month. Considering this scenario, we sought to evaluate the technical feasibility of the coating to be developed and the economic viability of the spin-off development that will operate in the coatings segment. The wall cladding is innovative for the construction industry, with technical quality close to the cement coatings, but the gypsum base, which is a raw material with lower carbon emissions than Portland cement. The spin-off intends to attack the construction materials sector, more specifically the coatings trade having as parent company a construction of popular houses located in Extremoz/RN. For the development of the product were carried out tests of characterization of the physical and chemical properties of the gypsum-based mixture, with the possibility of using rice husk ash in its composition, since besides presenting superior technical quality to the coating of pure gesso it brings greater sustainability to the final product. The analysis of the business was carried out in the light of market research and the economic evaluation of the proposed spin-off model. From the results, it was possible to verify the effectiveness of the gypsum-based mix as an innovative raw material for 3d coatings, in addition to making possible an agreement with the company S BRASIL EMPREENDIMENTOS through a commercial proposal aiming at the application of the coatings in at least 20 houses of the municipality of Extremoz in a period of 6 months.
