| Resumo: | This research intends to investigate the trajectory in the tourism and real estate sectors in
the Natal and Tibau do Sul in the period from 2001-2016, taking on the basis the
evolutions of indicators as the number of commercial establishments and the volume of
employment. The hypothesis that sustains him is that the singularity of Tibau do Sul, a
municipality where Pipa beach is localized, it made it a different destination for Natal,
determining a distinct type of connection between the above mentioned sectors,
compared with the observed in Natal, especially after the decline in the number of
foreign tourist who visited the state. After the fall of this source of demand for real
estate assets in the capital, the completion of major works for the reception of the 2014
cup and the reduction of the development of the real estate made the links between the
two sectors even looser to generate a dynamics of feedback that can promote the growth
of the city. Tibau do Sul, even with the fall of foreign tourists, continued to attract
visitors in sufficient scale to sustain the expansion of their tourist activities, determinants
of the growth rate of its real estate offer. |
