We will seek to touch on this question by the comparative study of the philosophies of Immanuel Kant and Bernard Lonergan and by the examination of the human cognitive structure. More specifically, four problems constitute the spine of this dissertation: (1º) whether the structure of human knowledge reflects or not the structure of known reality; (2º) whether the solutions or choices adopted in the context of the former question result in palpable consequences for ontology and scientific method; (3º) whether the point of view of common sense, according to which we in fact possess a knowledge of reality or of the world, not limited to our own thought constructions, even if imperfect or partial, is defensible; (4º) whether, by investigating this theme, some lead for the solution of the universals problem could be found. O presente trabalho visa analisar a natureza geral da relação entre o conhecimento e seu objeto, tomado no sentido mais abrangente, bem como de investigar de que maneira o modo como abordamos a distinção entre ambos acarreta consequências para os campos da epistemologia e da metafísica. Buscaremos abordar essa questão por meio do estudo comparativo das filosofias de Immanuel Kant e de Bernard Lonergan e do exame da estrutura cognitiva humana. Mais especificamente, quatro problemas constituem a coluna desta dissertação: (1º) se a estrutura do conhecimento humano reflete ou não a estrutura da realidade conhecida; (2º) se as soluções ou escolhas adotadas no contexto da questão anterior acarretam consequências palpáveis para a ontologia e para o método científico; (3º) se o ponto de vista do senso comum, segundo o qual possuímos de fato um conhecimento da realidade ou do mundo, não limitado a nossas próprias construções de pensamento, ainda que imperfeito e parcial, é defensável; (4º) se, ao investigar esse tema, alguma pista para a solução do problema ontológico dos universais poderia ser encontrada. 2019-08-06T21:56:21Z 2019-08-06T21:56:21Z 2018-12-19 masterThesis PINHEIRO FILHO, Geraldo Patrício.
