Achoimre: | The main purpose of this work is to provide an analisys of how, from the construction of the
biography of Maria Madalena Antunes Pereira, the History teacher can articulate contents and
teaching procedures in his teaching activity in the Basic School. The intent is to demonstrate how
biographical studies can be used in the classroom, both to understand the relationship between
individual stories and collective stories, and to understand different times and spaces. Because it is a
dissertation presented to a professional master's degree in History teaching, it becomes necessary to
link the historical discussion itself with the teaching action developed in the classroom. Desiring to
meet this criterion, the work consists of three stages: the biographical construction of Madalena
Antunes; the discussion of the presence of the biography in the classroom, from this character; and,
finally, the construction of an electronic address resulting from the work carried out in the previous
stages. At first, we sought to analyze the trajectory of Madalena Antunes, from the point of
departure of her narratives, the city of Ceará-Mirim, to her construction as a writer, analyzing the
historical and literary aspects of her work, "Oiteiro ", The main source analyzed. Next, we seek to
make a relation between the issue of History Teaching, gender and biography, in order to verify the
potentialities brought by these elements to the teaching of said discipline. A biography of Madalena
Antunes was elaborated based on the specific themes presented in her book and with this, in the
scope of basic education, it is not intended to repeat a history of the local elites, but to analyze the
performance of a woman who lived in a patriarchal society , seeking to capture the way she
perceived the role of women in that society and how it related to people from other social segments.
It is sought, therefore, to use the trajectory of Magdalena as a guiding thread in the understanding of
the relations established between the different social groups existing in Ceará-Mirim at the end of
the nineteenth century. Finally, it was presented the stages of elaboration and result of the final
product of this work, an electronic memorial, made available on a free platform in the World
Computer Network, in which we present a space for studies and dialogues about Madalena Antunes
and her work. |
