Resumo:The present research has as general objective to evaluate the environmental vulnerability of the municipality of Galinhos to the detriment of its geoenvironmental and socioeconomic characteristics, regarding the land use and occupation patterns, its environmental systems, the potentialities and limitations of use and their implications in the modification of space. In order to reach the proposed objective, the theoretical-methodological bases of the geosystemic approach, the ecodynamic theory, the concepts of landscape, geosystems and stability of the environmental systems were chosen; the concepts of risk and vulnerability are presented in order to reduce confusion in understanding these concepts. The technical and methodological procedures for the development of the research have as theoretical and methodological support for the mapping of environmental systems, the assumptions of Bertrand (2004), Sotchava (1977), Tricart (1977), Monteiro (2000), Souza among others; and the generation of cartographic products with the support of Geographic Information Systems (GIS) and the use of Remotely Piloted Aircraft (ARP). The analysis of environmental vulnerability will be made possible by the adaptation of the methodology presented by Crepani et. al. (2001), Grigio (2003), Tagliani (2003), Costa et. al. (2006), Oliveira and Mattos (2014), based on Tricart (1977). Field incursions were carried out to validate the generation of the Land Use and Occupancy map, obtained from the use of remote sensing and photointerpretation tools. The mapping of environmental systems identified the following classes: Geosystems (or Geocomplexes): Dune; Mangrove and apicum; Beach; Semi-arid coastal board, semi-arid interior board and lacustrine valley; Environmental Systems: Estuary Galinhos-Guamaré; Interdunary ponds; Tank of Shrimp farming-Saline, permanent agriculture in semi-arid coastal board and semi-arid interior tray; Temporary agriculture in semi-arid coastal board and semiarid interior tray; Mobile dunes and fixed dunes; Mangrove; Hypersaline Plain and Wind Farm. The determination of the degrees of vulnerability was generated from algebraic equations to cross the data in a GIS environment, using the raster calculator tool. The results obtained identified the following categories and percentage of occupation of area: natural vulnerability: a) very low (5.28%), b) low (70.03%), c) moderate, d) high (7.65%), e) very high (13.96%) and environmental vulnerability: a) very low (1.94%), b) low (46.20%), c) moderate (26.42%), d) high (14.28%) and e) very high (11.16%). The analysis of the environmental vulnerability and the identification of the environmental systems are important subsidies to the environmental planning / planning with a view to the sustainable development of the study area.
