الملخص:The objective of this study was to analyze the accuracy of the clinical indicators of the diagnosis of Physical Impaired Physical Impairment in patients undergoing invasive cardiovascular procedures. This is a diagnostic accuracy study, developed in the surgical clinic of a University Hospital of Rio Grande do Norte, with a sample of 140 patients, over 18 years of age, in the postoperative period of invasive cardiovascular procedures, using an elaborate instrument according to the clinical indicators of Physical Impairment, based on NANDA International. Measures of diagnostic accuracy were calculated from latent class models adjusted with the application of random effects. The results showed a predominance of males, with a mean age of 59 years, smoking history and associated chronic comorbidities such as hypertension and diabetes. There was a prevalence of 55.45% of the Impaired Physical Mobility diagnosis, with the clinical indicators that best predict the diagnosis, with greater sensitivity to this, a reduction in gross motor activities, difficulty in turning and a reduction in the range of movements, and greater specificity: Movement-induced tremor and prolonged response time. It was verified that individuals undergoing large cardiac surgeries are 100 times more likely to have Impaired Physical Mobility. The evidence generated by this study contributed to the knowledge of the diagnosis among patients in the postoperative period due to cardiovascular conditions. Therefore, the need for nursing care aimed at patients who undergo invasive cardiovascular procedures, which enable the individual to return to his or her independence status, was contacted. These findings can help in the greater reliability in the clinical evaluations of the nurse, an important factor for the nursing in its diverse contexts, including in the consolidation and recognition of its practice based on the needs of the patient.
