Something so neglected in several of our schools almost being abolished from various school curricula. The use of the ruler and compass in the classroom is nothing more than the most concrete and visual form of the student to see how one can construct complex geometric shapes and construct segments of lines with due measures from a previously fixed segment as unit . The demonstrations of the constructions is also of extreme relevance for the deepening of the content. Then it is welcome that the student knows some ground plane geometry as similarity of triangles, Pythagorean theorem, point power, Tales theorem, etc. The work itself does not exclude the use of GeoGebra's powerful software. In fact, the joining of the ruler and compass with GeoGebra would be ideal in the classroom. The work is divided into three parts: The first part are basic constructions such as performing angular transfer, summing the subtraction of angles, tracing the bisector of a given angle and constructing the perpendicular bisector of a given segment among others. The second part is the inscription of regular polygons given a circumference given with due justifications. The third part is the construction of rational numbers. Este trabalho tem como maior objetivo a busca pela valorização de práticas básicas e fundamentais como o uso de régua e compasso em sala de aula. Algo tão negligenciado em várias de nossas escolas quase sendo abolido de vários currículos escolares. O uso da régua e compasso em sala de aula nada mais é que a forma mais concreta e visual do aluno ver como pode-se construir formas complexas geométricas e construir segmentos de retas com devidas medidas a partir de um segmento pré-fixado anteriormente como unidade. As demonstrações das construções também é de extrema relevância para o aprofundamento do conteúdo. Então é bem-vindo que o aluno saiba alguma fundamentação da geometria plana como semelhança de triângulos, teorema de Pitágoras, potência de ponto, teorema de Tales, etc. O trabalho em si também não exclui o uso do programa poderosíssimo do GeoGebra. Na verdade, a junção da régua e compasso com o GeoGebra seria o ideal em sala de aula. O trabalho é dividido em três partes: A primeira parte são construções básicas como realizar transferência de ângulos, soma a subtração de ângulos, traçar a bissetriz de um ângulo dado e construir a mediatriz de um segmento dado entre outras. A segunda parte é a inscrição de polígonos regulares dado uma circunferência dada com as devidas justificativas.
