After analysing di↵erent set of data, we verified that the distribuition is of power law type N(t) / t (1+↵) , with ↵ ⇡ 1.2. Our study used data set from marathons and half marathons across several countries and years. Besides the power law encountered, two other results that we consider relevant are the fact that the distributions show the same universality class, that is, the same exponent, and that it is invariant in space and time, meaning that it is independent of the place and year of the event. We believe that the same procedure can be applied to di↵erent competitions. Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior (CAPES) Conselho Nacional de Desenvolvimento Científico e Tecnológico - CNPq O objetivo principal desse trabalho é analisar a distribuição dos intervalos de tempos medida entre participantes que chegam, consecutivamente, ao final de maratonas e meias maratonas. Mais especificamente, se é o tempo de chegada do i-ésimo corredor, o intervalo de tempo entre ele e seu consecutivo será dador por , em que N é o número total de corredores. Após analisar vários conjuntos de dados verificamos que a distribuição encontrada é do tipo lei de potência $ , com Utilizamos dados de maratonas e meias maratonas de diversos países em diversos anos. Além do fato de termos encontrado leis de potência, outros dois resultados que consideramos relevantes são o fato das distribuições apresentarem a mesma classe de universalidade, ou seja, apresentarem os mesmos expoentes, e de serem invariantes do espaço e no tempo, ou seja, independente do lugar e do ano do evento.
