Based on the proposal to think "the city as an open book", to articulate the theoretical concepts with the artistic experimentation in which the researcher is inserted, the surface of the city is thought in this context as material of scientific analysis while dense narrative description. For this purpose, three main concepts are explored; or of minor literature (DELEUZE, GUATTARI, 1977); the sharing of the sensitive (RANCIÈRE, 2005); and heterotopia (Foucault, 2013). In this sense, the research chains the intellectual exercise with the poetic sensibility, to perceive and to think the urban writings. Thus, the purpose of the work is to highlight the narratives enunciated by these practices, questioning how they re-signify urban space in aesthetic and political terms, insofar as they challenge the architecture of the city. Esta dissertação tem como objetivo investigar a cidade contemporânea a partir do fenômeno da “Arte Urbana”, especificamente os segmentos - graffiti e pixo -, na cidade de Natal. Tendo como base a proposta de pensar “a cidade como um livro aberto”, para articular os conceitos teóricos com a experimentação artística na qual se insere o pesquisador, a superfície da cidade é pensada nesse contexto como material de análise científica ao mesmo tempo que densa descrição narrativa. Para tal finalidade, são explorados três conceitos principais; o de literatura menor (DELEUZE; GUATTARI, 1977); a partilha do sensível (RANCIÈRE, 2005); e heterotopia (FOUCAULT, 2013). Nesse sentido, a pesquisa encadeia o exercício intelectual com a sensibilidade poética, para perceber e pensar as escritas citadinas. Sendo assim, o trabalho tem como propósito evidenciar as narrativas enunciadas por essas práticas, questionando como elas ressignificam o espaço urbano de modo estético e político, na medida em que desafiam a arquitetura da cidade.
