| Resumo: | Open Data is an important concept for our society, and it is being adopted by public and
private entities. When embracing Open Data, the companies generate more transparency
and collaboration in our society, this enables the enhancement and creation of services,
helping to improve many aspects of our lives. Despite the existence of data catalogue
platforms to support Open Data, e.g. CKAN, the complexity and costs of achieving the
publication of Open Data are still a challenge, hampering the adoption of the activity of
publishing Open Data. The existing tools that support Open Data publication demands
deep knowledge of IT tools to publish the data, leaving this important task in the hands
of few. Hence, the existing tools are not able to properly achieve the main goal which
is to make anyone able to publish and maintain Open Data. In this context, this work
aims to design and implement a new tool to decrease the complexity and costs, and to
make possible non-IT technicians to publish and manage their Open Data. We believe that
this strategy will engage the real data producers in the Open Data movement, helping to
improve the quality of Open Data. |
