The research has the objective of evaluating the information flow of the accessible
information production process of the Accessibility Laboratory (LA) of the Central Library
Zila Mamede / UFRN, considering the opinion of the LA team, teachers and students with
Specific Educational Needs attended by the sector. The production of accessible information
in the LA is considered an organizational process and as such is formed by information flows
that sustain and give life to all the activities of the process. The study started from the premise
that barriers present in the informational flow of the process interfere directly in the
production of accessible information, reverberating in the non-attendance to the informational
needs of the students with limitations and / or difficulties in the printed reading, assisted by
the LA. It is a research of an applied nature, of a descriptive and exploratory character that
was characterized as a mixed study, with a research approach of case study and survey
strategies. From a quantitative-qualitative approach, the research used as instruments for data
collection a semi-structured questionnaire, participant observation and discursions through the
Focal Group. Data analysis was performed using the data triangulation technique. The results
pointed to the fact that the knowledge of the flow operation has reached a satisfactory degree,
and detected the LA and CAENE as main agents of disclosure. The barriers with higher
incidence in the detected flow were related to: intrapersonal factors, mostly linked to the
motivation of the participant of the flow; interpersonal factors related to the characteristics of
the information emitter, poor communication, poor use of technology and motivation of the
individual; and the response time in meeting the demands on the flow, which did not reach a
level of excellence. Regarding the informational behavior, the informational needs of the
three actors of the flow were detected, and these were related in large part to the disclosure of
dates and deadlines, to the transmission of information material and to the best disclosure.
The results pointed to a service of information needs with a degree of excellence, where these,
for the most part, have always been met. However, regarding the level of satisfaction of the
operation of the flow was reached in a scale of degree of satisfaction, which ranges from 0 to
10, a note 6.3. Some recommendations were suggested to remedy the obstacles identified,
such as a proposal to modify the teaching module in the SIGAA, a proposal for the creation of
an institutional electronic tutorial for the production of accessible information, and a new
design of the flow. |

A pesquisa tem o objetivo de avaliar o fluxo informacional do processo de produção informacional acessível do Laboratório de Acessibilidade (LA) da Biblioteca Central Zila Mamede/UFRN, considerando a opinião da equipe do LA, docentes e discentes com Necessidade Educacionais Específicas atendidos pelo setor. A produção de informação acessível no LA é considerada um processo organizacional e como tal é formado por fluxos informacionais que sustentam e dão vida a todas as atividades do processo. O estudo partiu da premissa que barreiras presentes no fluxo informacional do processo, interferem diretamente na produção da informação acessível, reverberando no não atendimento às necessidades informacionais dos discentes com limitações e/ou dificuldades na leitura impressa, assistidos pelo LA. Trata-se de uma pesquisa de natureza aplicada, de caráter descritivo e exploratório que se caracterizou como um estudo misto, com abordagem de investigação de estratégias de estudo de caso e levantamento. De abordagem quanti-qualitativa, a pesquisa utilizou como instrumentos para a coleta dos dados um questionário semi-estruturado, a observação participante e discursões por meio de Grupo Focal. A análise dos dados utilizou-se da técnica da triangulação de dados. Os resultados apontaram para o fato do conhecimento do funcionamento do fluxo ter alcançado um grau satisfatório, e detectou o LA e a CAENE como agentes principais de divulgação. Os entraves com maior incidência no fluxo detectados foram relacionados a: fatores intrapessoais, em sua maioria ligados à motivação do indivíduo participante do fluxo; fatores interpessoais relacionados às características do emissor da informação, à má comunicação, ao mau uso das tecnologias e à motivação do indivíduo; e ao tempo de resposta no atendimento das demandas no fluxo, que não alcançou um nível de excelência. Quanto ao comportamento informacional, foram detectadas as necessidades informacionais dos três atores do fluxo, e estas estavam relacionadas em grande parte à divulgação de datas e prazos, ao encaminhamento de material informacional e à melhor divulgação. Os resultados apontaram para um atendimento das necessidades informacionais com um grau de excelência, onde estas, em sua maioria, sempre foram atendidas. Porém quanto ao nível de satisfação do funcionamento do fluxo foi alcançada em uma escala de grau de satisfação, que vai de 0 a 10, uma nota 6,3.
