In a public institution with nearly 5500 workers, these doubts can be even more noticeable given the size of the institution. The aim of this study was to evaluate the level of knowledge regarding social security retirement pensions of the workers of a higher education federal institution who already have the right to retirement or who will be eligible to it in the next 5 years. With this result, it was possible to diagnose this knowledge within the institution aiming its use for future improvements. The research instrument for data collection was the questionnaire with the target audience, characterizing them and formulating questions that highlighted possible doubts. Additionally, the perception of respondents as to the dissemination of this knowledge within the institution was studied, evaluating existing tools and suggesting improvements for the current strategy. The diagnosis was carried out through the crossing of data collected by the instrument and data obtained by means of qualitative and quantitative analysis of digital spreadsheets. Lastly, an improvement plan to the existing management tools was elaborated, as well as a strategy for greater dissemination of social security knowledge within the institution, which, if implemented, could generate institutional value. A legislação previdenciária é aquela que passou por mais reformas desde a Constituição Federal de 1988, isso gera dúvidas e receios daqueles que pretendem obter o benefício da aposentadoria. Em uma instituição pública, com quase 5500 servidores, essa dúvida pode ser ainda mais evidente devido às proporções da instituição. O objetivo do presente trabalho foi examinar o nível do conhecimento previdenciário, com relação ao benefício de aposentadoria, dos servidores ligados a uma instituição federal de ensino superior que já têm direito a aposentadoria ou que terão nos próximos 5 anos. Com isso, fazer um diagnóstico desse conhecimento na instituição para possíveis melhorias futuras. O instrumento de coleta de dados utilizado na pesquisa foi o questionário com o público alvo, caracterizando-os, e colocando questões que fizessem evidenciar possíveis dúvidas. Além disso, foi estudado a percepção dos respondentes quanto a disseminação desse conhecimento na instituição. Avaliando as ferramentas já existentes e abrindo espaço para sugestões de melhorias na atual estratégia. O diagnóstico realizado foi feito através do cruzamento de dados obtidos no instrumento de coleta e gerados em planilhas eletrônicas através de uma análise quantitativa e qualitativa.
