This search, provide a perception in the first time, humanitarian feeling of care, offer help and support to those in need, by pure act of love of neighbor, or also as a way to stay alive in the human species on the planet, as the treaty concept by Leonardo Boff. It was possible to go through the history of this Organization, currently considered the world's largest humanitarian institution, with millions of engaged volunteers, and millions of others assisted in many ways needs. With this guide, we analyzed the institutional digital media maintained by the Branch RN, and the Web site and Facebook Page (Fan Page), identifying the characteristics and practices of communication routine. The visits not only the RN Branch, as well as the Brazilian Red Cross, in Rio de Janeiro and the headquarters of the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent (IFRC) in Geneva, Switzerland, provided a broader view on this paper. O estudo proposto nesta pesquisa empenha-se no entendimento ampliado da comunicação desenvolvida em uma organização internacional, de caráter social, no caso a Cruz Vermelha – Filial Rio Grande do Norte, instalada na capital do Estado, Natal. Essa busca, proporcionou a percepção, em primeiro momento, do sentimento humanitário do cuidar, oferecer ajuda e apoio a quem precisa, pelo puro ato de amor ao próximo, ou também como forma de permanecermos vivos em espécie humana no planeta, como no conceito tratado por Leonardo Boff. Pôde-se percorrer a história desta Organização, considerada, atualmente, a maior instituição humanitária do mundo, com milhões de voluntários engajados, além de outras milhões de pessoas assistidas em inúmeras formas de necessidades. Por esse guia, pôde-se analisar as mídias digitais institucionais mantidas pela Filial RN, sendo o Web Site e a Página do Facebook (Fan Page), identificando as especificidades e práticas da rotina comunicacional.
