The ecological appeal is one of the main reasons that drive the use of industrial waste, however the reduction in the number of employed matrix composite and consequently lower production expense is an important aspect to be considered. This paper proposes the use of MDF waste (Miduim Density Fiberboard) collected powder in joinery, as reinforcement / cargo in the manufacture of polymer composites using as matrix resins orthophthalic polyester and tereftálica. The processes for obtaining composite and its characterization were studied by means of mechanical, thermal and physical properties of composite samples with mass fractions of 0, 10, 15 and 20% residue added to said resins. With the proposed material manufactured to a solar furnace type box with E20 composite. This composite enabled the use of lower resin reducing the manufacturing cost of the equipment. The average of the density values was 1.23 g / cm 3 having a standard deviation on the order of 0.015 g / cm3. The results obtained show that the composites with 59% maximum variation in tensile strength and flexural strength 57% lower than the matrix not precluding its use in applications with reduced mechanical stresses. In terms of heat resistance proposed composite showed advantages compared to the matrices of origin, orthophthalic resin and tereftálica. The study indicated that the resin waste aggregates have load function, however, there was an increase in modulus for all the manufactured composites and composite modulus of elasticity E20 showed 2.3 times higher than the tereftálica resin. The oven is manufactured with the E20 formulation proved to be competitive compared to other furnaces already tested in LMHES relative to the baking times of foods tested, obtaining temperatures in the absorber and the internal air of 133 ° C and 100 ° C respectively.

Inúmeros trabalhos relacionados à melhoria da eficiência dos processos produtivos, em todos os setores, apresentaram soluções simples visando diminuir custos de produção, reduzindo a matéria prima utilizada na fabricação de bens de consumo. O apelo ecológico é um dos principais motivos que impulsionam o uso de rejeitos industriais, porém a redução na quantidade de matriz empregada em compósitos e consequentemente à diminuição da despesa de produção é um aspecto importante a ser considerado. Este trabalho propõe a utilização de resíduos de MDF (Miduim Density Fiberboard) em pó coletados em marcenarias, como reforço/carga na fabricação de compósitos poliméricos utilizando como matriz as resinas poliéster ortoftálica e tereftálica. Foram estudados os processos de obtenção dos compósitos e sua caracterização através das propriedades mecânicas, térmicas e físicas em amostras de compósitos com frações mássicas de 0, 10, 15 e 20 % de resíduo adicionados às resinas citadas. Com o material proposto fabricou-se um forno solar do tipo caixa com o compósito E20. Este compósito permitiu a menor utilização de resina reduzindo o custo de fabricação do equipamento. A média dos valores de densidade ficou em 1,23 g/cm3 tendo um desvio padrão na ordem de 0,015 g/cm3. Os resultados mostram que os compósitos obtidos apresentaram variação máxima de resistência a tração 59% e flexão 57% inferior a da matriz, não inviabilizando sua utilização em aplicações com esforços mecânicos reduzidos. Em termos de resistência térmica os compósitos propostos demonstraram vantagens quando comparados às matrizes de origem, a resina ortoftálica e tereftálica. O estudo indicou que os resíduos agregados à resina têm a função de carga, todavia houve um aumento no módulo de elasticidade para todos os compósitos fabricados e, o compósito E20 apresentou módulo de elasticidade 2,3 vezes superior ao da resina tereftálica.
