Resumo:The spatial distribution of basic education services (average) in Natal - RN is marked by an imbalance between supply and demand. That is a function of this disordered urbanization process in this city over the last decades. This fosters the need for daily mobility of the population that public which often crosses the city in search of that service. Bringing consequences as the rise of public and individual expenditures for transportation and time. The imbalance between demand and supply of education has generated a segmentation between housing and studies. This drives the mobility for these purposes and expresses the relationship of interdependence between the city's neighborhoods. Through the measurement of home-study displacements can learn the new urban space forms. However, most of the studies developed in Brazil, on the subject, direct their analyzes for commuting motivated by work and little has been produced on this phenomenon with motivation studies. Another peculiar aspect of these productions is the geographic criterion pear determine the daily spatial mobility, that is, the administrative political limit. Consider this phenomenon only under intermunicipal, in analytical terms, despise the importance of displacement of people traveled great distances, but did not exceed the boundary of the municipality of residence. Thus, the development of this work, we intend to consider these issues relevant for the study of the daily displacements of the population. In terms of methodology was used as living space Empirically theoretical foundation, the School Census database 2012, was exploited to capture information on the residency of locality and studies of these young people. To investigate the relationship between academic achievement and those commuting between home and school, as well as some other variables used the logistic regression model. Which produced results that pointed to chance a student have positive academic performance before their spatial location.
