Resumo:This work intends to verify the compatibility between activities performed by technical-administrative servers working at the Rectory of UFRN and the activities planned in the rules of the Ministry of Education for their respective positions. The research approach is quantitative and qualitative and the method used was case study. The instruments used were questionnaires to the technical-administrative servers who work at the Rectory UFRN and semistructured interview with the boss of people management. Furthermore, it was done a bibliographic and documental research. The results showed a mismatch between the activities performed by technical-administratives and the activities predicted by the MEC for each office. This leads to the need for a continuous process of planning and organizational changes in the human resources and management areas. It is breaking with limited and disjointed management practices, aimed at achieving the goals set for these two areas in the plans of management and better utilization of the workforce to achieve an efficient and effective management.
