The premise established here is that the visual representations of women are constructed, constituted and understood based on male perception. In terms of method, the film analyzes dialogues using psychoanalysis theory. O presente artigo tem por finalidade discutir analiticamente as relações de gênero representadas no filme O Caminho das Nuvens (Vicente Amorim, 2003) investigando os modelos de representação cinematográfica da imagem sociocultural do feminino e do masculino, buscando, inclusive, refletir sobre as implicações na estrutura social que o conceito de gênero gera. Parte-se aqui do pressuposto de que as representações visuais do feminino são construídas e constituídas a partir do olhar masculino.
