The study showed that the PFDL has an interesting way of content retrieval, with advanced search and by subject, by the terms of existing descriptors, which were also based on Thesaurus brased, the National Institute of Educational Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP). We conclude, during the research described here, that indexing policy adopted in PFDL meets the information needs of the organization in the field of this problem. Resultado de pesquisa que analisa a política de indexação da Biblioteca Digital Paulo Freire (BDPF) através da apresentação da lista de cabeçalhos de assuntos, uma importante ferramenta de indexação, fazendo-se uma revisão a partir de literaturas já existentes. O estudo permitiu verificar que a BDPF possui uma maneira interessante de recuperação de conteúdo, com as buscas avançada e por assunto, por meio dos termos descritores já existentes, os quais também foram baseados no Thesaurus Brased, do Instituto Nacional de Estudos e Pesquisas Educacionais Anísio Teixeira (INEP). Concluímos, no decorrer da pesquisa aqui descrita, que a política de indexação adotada na BDPF satisfaz as necessidades de organização de informação no domínio do problema abordado.
