Resumo:This present study aims at identifying, among the analyzed variables by SINAES, which ones can influence the students' academic performance. The sample is constituted by Accounting Sciences Graduation Courses which obtained concepts 1 and 2 versus 4 and 5 in ENADE in the years 2009 and 2012, totalizing 383 courses, in 2009, e 464, in 2012. The following variables have been analyzed: freshmen's marks in Enem, parents' schooling, infrastructure rate, pedagogic didactical organization rate, teachers' working hours and quantity of masters and doctors. The work has used as statistical tool the non parametric test Mann-Whitney, once the data couldn't present normal distribution. It has been verified that the only variable that has not presented influence over the mark obtained by the IES(Higher Education Institution) in ENADE was the "parents' schooling". The results obtained in the research show the main points in which higher education entities  should invest in order to get better results in ENADE, which are: teachers qualification (entitling and pedagogic formation), infrastructure investment and enlargement of teachers with exclusive dedication. Keywords: ENADE.
