To answer the questions, we rely on studies by Dominique Maingueneau (2008) on ethos and on the Theory of Argumentation by Perelman and Olbrechts Tyteca (2014). The results indicate that the colonizing discourse is crystallized by social and historical practices that legitimize positions that subjugate people from the LGBTQIAPN+ public, specifically in the text's corpus, and other marginalized social groups. Este artigo tem como corpus o videoclipe da música 'Unholy', lançado em 2023 pelos artistas Sam Smith e Kim Petras. O objetivo é compreender como a cenografia e o ethos discursivo são manifestados e como os argumentos são construídos para persuadir o auditório/público. Como recurso metodológico, elegemos a pesquisa documental de abordagem qualitativa. Para responder às questões, apoiamo-nos nos estudos de Dominique Maingueneau (2008) sobre ethos e na Teoria da Argumentação de Perelman e Olbrechts Tyteca (2014). Os resultados apontam que o discurso colonizador é cristalizado por práticas sociais e históricas que legitimam posicionamentos que subjugam pessoas do público LGBTQIAPN+, em específico no corpus do texto, e demais grupos sociais marginalizados.
