The first idea denotes a state prior to the constitution of civil society. It would be a hypothesis in which there would be war and competition between subjects, justified by the absence of a being that personifies sovereign power. In this context, each person pursues their personal interests, resulting in an insecure and unstable life. To escape this chaotic state, Hobbes proposes a contract, in which individuals agree to give up freedom and self-regulation in favor of the protection of an absolute sovereign that governs them. In support of the aforementioned social agreement, there is the talent of the rhetorical skill of eloquence, which would enter as an auxiliary of reason, shaping the passions of the subjects in favor of civil obedience. In conclusion, it is perceived that the Hobbesian contract constitutes the authority of the sovereign, but it is not enough in terms of preventing the return to the belligerent state without using the rhetorical skill of eloquence in the minds of the population as a reinforcement of civil obedience.

Este estudio bibliográfico y teórico tiene como objetivo analizar la relación de las ideas ideadas y nombradas por Thomas Hobbes como estado de naturaleza, contrato social y elocuencia, de este último, analizando su capacidad retórica. La primera idea denota un estado anterior a la constitución de la sociedad civil. Sería una hipótesis en la que habría guerra y competencia entre los sujetos, justificada por la ausencia de un ser que personifique el poder soberano. En este contexto, cada persona persigue sus intereses personales, lo que resulta en una vida insegura e inestable. Para escapar de este estado caótico, Hobbes propone un contrato, en el que los individuos se comprometen a renunciar a la libertad y la autorregulación en favor de la protección de un soberano absoluto que los gobierna. En el apoyo de dicho acuerdo social está el talento de la habilidad retórica de la elocuencia, que entraría como auxiliar de la razón, moldeando las pasiones de los súbditos en aras de la obediencia civil. En la conclusión, se percibe que el contrato hobbesiano constituye la autoridad del soberano, pero no es suficiente para evitar el retorno al estado beligerante sin el uso de la habilidad retórica de la elocuencia en las mentes de la población como un refuerzo de la obediencia civil. Este estudo de cunho bibliográfico e teórico, objetiva primordial analisar a relação das ideias arquitetadas e denominadas por Thomas Hobbes como estado de natureza, contrato Social e eloquência, desta última, analisando a sua habilidade retórica. A primeira ideia denota um estado anterior à constituição da sociedade civil. Seria uma hipótese em que haveria guerra e competição entre os sujeitos, justificada pela ausência de um ser que personifique o poder soberano. Nesse contexto, cada pessoa busca seus interesses pessoais, resultando em uma vida insegura e instável. Para escapar desse estado caótico, Hobbes propõe um contrato, no qual os indivíduos concordam em desistir da liberdade e autorregulação em prol da proteção de um soberano absoluto que os governe. Na sustentação do referido acordo social, está o talento da habilidade retórica da eloquência, que entraria como auxiliar da razão, moldando as paixões dos súditos em prol da obediência civil. Na conclusão, é percebido que o contrato hobbesiano constitui a autoridade do soberano, mas não é o suficiente no que tange impedir o retorno ao estado beligerante sem o uso da habilidade retórica da eloquência na mente da população como reforço a obediência civil.
