With this work, we aim to analyze the relationship between gestures and holophrases of an autistic child in language acquisition. As specific objectives, we intend to describe the gestures and holophrases of an autistic child in interactive scenes; identify the types of gestures, and verify the roles that such gestures present integrated with holophrastic productions. The research is theoretically framed in the multimodal approach and starts from the studies of McNeill (1985, 1992, 2000), Kendon (1982, 1988, 2004), Barros (2013), Cavalcante (2018), and others. The article is a case study of a qualitative nature, the work was developed with a female autistic child; a participant of the study, and a reception group promoted by a community institution of higher education. The data were transcribed from the Eudico Language Annotator (ELAN) software. As a result of the study, we found that the autistic child produced different gestural dimensions associated with holophrases. The deictic gestures coupled with the utterances of a word presented roles of indicating the child's interest, in addition to favoring the interactive and enunciative construction, the iconic gesture also had the role of representing object. With this, we realize that holophrases and gestures can act as elements of language in the situations of interaction. O processo de aquisição de linguagem, com base na perspectiva multimodal, pode privilegiar um conjunto de segmentos linguísticos como gestos, produções vocais e expressões faciais para promoção de sentidos. Com este trabalho, objetivamos analisar a relação entre gestos e holófrases de uma criança autista na aquisição da linguagem. Como objetivos específicos, pretendemos descrever os gestos e as holófrases dessa criança em cenas interativas; identificar os tipos de gestos e verificar quais os papéis que tais gestos apresentam integrados às produções holofrásticas. A pesquisa enquadra-se teoricamente na abordagem multimodal e parte dos estudos de McNeill (1985, 1992, 2000), Kendon (1982, 1988, 2004), Almeida (2018), Cavalcante (2018) e outros. O artigo é um estudo de caso de natureza qualitativa e o trabalho foi desenvolvido com uma criança autista do sexo feminino, que é participante do grupo de estudos e acolhimento promovido por uma instituição comunitária de ensino superior. Os dados foram transcritos a partir do software Eudico Language Annotator (ELAN). Como resultado do estudo, verificamos que a criança autista produziu diferentes dimensões gestuais associadas às holófrases. Os gestos dêiticos acoplados aos enunciados de uma palavra apresentaram papéis de indicar o interesse da criança, além de favorecer a construção interativa e enunciativa, o gesto icônico também teve o papel de representar objeto. Com isso, percebemos que as holófrases e os gestos podem atuar de forma integrada como elementos de linguagem nos contextos de interação, constituindo um caminho linguístico para a criança autista.
