Resumo:Introduction: The use of manicure and pedicure services hasincreasedamongwomenaroundthe world. However, the heal thrisks in the se services are notmuch explored. Objective: There fore, this study aimstoverify the asepsis methods and explore thek now ledge of manicure and pedicure Professional sabout the use of personal protective equipment againstdiseasesrelatedtotheirjob Methodology: Descriptiveresearchthatincluded  manicure and pedicure professionals for atle a stone year of service in Nova Floresta-PB. The Statistical Package for the Social Sciences program wasused for data storage and analysis. Results: Twenty-twowomenwith a mean age of 29.5 year sparticipated in the sample. Althoughsterilizationmaterialswere used, the persona protective equipment such as glovesandmasks, glasses, apronsandshoesshowedlowadherence. Alcohol, acetone, soap, waterandhypochloritealsoshowedlowutilization. Lackof training andknowledgeaboutcommunicablediseaseswas high.  .Conclusions: Professional technicalandbiosafetylimitationscanputprofessionalsandeveryonewhoisusingthoseservicesatrisk.
