Resumo:In this paper, we discuss the redefinitions in the techniques of investigation, prosecution and conviction of people associated with “drug trafficking”, “organized crime” and “facções”, from the 2010 in Maceió, Alagoas. During this period, the city was framed as the most violent capital in the country, making territories and groups already victimized by lethal violence the targets of more punitive public security policies. We aim to address the experiences of articulation between Judiciary, Prosecution Service and Alagoas’s Public Security Secretariat. To that end, we part from a case of an incriminated person, using its judicial files and reports, to dialogue with reports of Justice System actors and with the information produced by Public Security in Alagoas and Brazil. We conclude that these reformulations produce a zone of suspension of legal guarantees and indiferentiation between those who live in territories read beforehand under the perspective of crime, traffic and violence.
