Resumo: | This article presents a study on the psychological violence suffered by the character Luana, in the dramaturgical work Um Judeu na Minha Cama (1976), by the contemporary writer Lília Silva. Each meeting between Luana and Gad, the couple discusses the existential dramas that permeate their lives. From these dialogues, the objective is to analyze whether Gad's quest to be happy does not become psychological violence, experienced by Luana: humiliation, ridicule, isolation and limited freedom, some of the seven verbs that guide article 147–B of the Penal Code. The literary study is based on psychoanalytic and philosophical theories: Freud (1986); Lacan (1992); Schopenhauer (2005).
