The body, for that matter, constitutes a very important element on social construction of male and female identities — for women, it has the power of preventing personal development possibilities, defining their social roles in family and in society. In this scenario, starting from the assumptions of Gilbert Durand´s imaginary theory, the present work intends to explore, on the figurative context of the novel Meu corpo ainda quente (2020), of Sheyla Smanioto, the idea of feminine body colonization and the many violences that result from it. The book in question, as an expression of historical and social conditions of the time when it was produced, represents, in its own way, women fight for the exercise of a full citizenship, historically built by claiming a voice that for a long time was denied for them. As relações de poder se manifestam em nossas interações sociais e agem sobre os corpos de todos os indivíduos. O corpo, nesse sentido, constitui um elemento muito relevante na construção social das identidades masculinas e femininas — para as mulheres, possui o poder de tolher possibilidades de desenvolvimento pessoal, definindo suas funções sociais na família e na sociedade. Nesse cenário, partindo dos pressupostos constantes da teoria do imaginário de Gilbert Durand, o presente trabalho busca explorar, no contexto figurativo do romance Meu corpo ainda quente (2020), de Sheyla Smanioto a ideia de colonização do corpo feminino e as inúmeras violências dela decorrentes. A obra em análise, como expressão das condições sociais e históricas do tempo em que foi produzida, representa, a seu modo, a luta das mulheres pelo exercício de uma cidadania plena, historicamente construída pela reivindicação de uma voz que por muito tempo lhes foi negada.
