Resumo: | The trajectory of the start-up PackID, a company from Chapecó (SC), focused on monitoring temperature and humidity, in real time, is a real teaching case, reported by the CEO and founder, Caroline Dallacorte. Of the initial idea presented in a regional innovation program, to the participation in an international challenge, PackID identified several paths to be followed. From monitoring products in the distribution chain in the food industry, to the use of your device by the pharmaceutical industry. With the Covid-19 Pandemic, the challenges and opportunities for growth and regulatory adjustments, made PackID ask itself, which paths to follow? Within this context, the teaching case reported here aims to promote reflections on some dilemmas of the growth of an innovative enterprise, given the opportunities showed by investors and of a new perspective of start-up performance caused by the Covid-19 pandemic. What strategic actions can be implemented by PackID, in relation to its business model, for the different paths, are some of the questions that the present case leads undergraduate and graduate students to debate and reflect, having as a theoretical basis the strategies of growth and the financing of innovation. |
