Motivated by the interest in investigating the production of discourses rooted in and by the deaf community, four Internet memes constitute material for analysis. The result of the investigations shows the performance of heterogeneous forces that pervade the social relations in and of the community, and are permeated by them. These forces mirror in the discursive materialities certain constitutions ethé on two levels: (1) in the sense of crystallizing the ideas of a cultural identity; (2) in the sense of configuring community relations in a more fragile, hybrid and subversive way. Tendo em vista que o humor se faz presente no cotidiano humano em meio a diversos tipos de linguagens e gêneros discursivos e que, nas redes sociais, a popularização de memes se constitui como importante difusor cultural, neste trabalho, analisamos as projeções ethoicas em memes produzidos pela comunidade surda, a partir do viés metodológico da Análise do Discurso francesa, com respaldo em Maingueneau (2008, 2020). Motivadas pelo interesse em investigar as produções de discursos enraizadas na e pela comunidade surda, quatro memes da Internet constituem material de análise. O resultado das investigações evidencia a atuação de forças heterogêneas que perpassam as relações sociais na e da comunidade, e são por elas perpassadas. Essas forças espelham nas materialidades discursivas determinadas constituições ethé em dois níveis: (1) no sentido de cristalizar o ideário de uma identidade cultural; (2) no sentido de configurar as relações comunitárias de forma mais frágeis, híbridas e subversivas.
